Executive Director

Mr. Don Thompson has held the responsibilities of Executive Director of the Harry Tompson Center since 2000. Mr. Thompson brings twenty years of social service experience with him to the position. His responsibilities include supervision of the provision of services for 250 to 275 homeless guests who visit the Harry Tompson Center each day, recruitment and supervision of volunteer and salaried staff, liaison responsibilities with neighboring businesses and the coordination of donations and fundraising for the Center. Mr. Thompson has completed all of the required coursework for a Ph.D. in Urban Studies. With an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Mr. Thompson holds a Masters degree in Pastoral Theology. Mr. Thompson holds himself equally accountable to the Board of Directors and the homeless community.
